Thosop bottlings now available in Germany

MALTS OF SCOTLAND is now distributing bottlings by Belgian bottler Thosop.
The man behind Thosop is Luc Timmermans, well known in whisky circles for his longtime membership in the Malt Maniacs, his sample mailorder business whiskysamples.eu and his deep connection to the Glenfarclas distillery.
Proof for the latter is the bottlings Timmermans is able to release from this Speyside legend: In 2009 he came up with a cask from 1968 (Timmermans year of birth), in the autumn of 2010 there was a follow up in the form of a vatting of two casks, again from 1968. Both bottlings received a lot of praises from tasters.
Timmermans is the Belgian representative of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (www.smws.be) and is a nominee as Honorary Member of the Grand Order of Glenfarclas.
Until summer 2010 Thosop released only a handful of bottlings: A Port Ellen from 1982, a Speyside „distilled at my favourite distillery“ from 1976, a Lochside from 1981 and a Glen Grant distilled in 1973 all bearing Thosop`s trademark, a handwritten label.
September 2010 saw the release of another Thosop bottling, a Deanston distilled in 1977. This and all future bottlings are distributed by Malts of Scotland in Germany.
