Amazing Casks – a new series of extraordinary quality bottlings!

MALTS OF SCOTLAND starts a new series entitled „Amazing Casks“ dedicated to absolutely stunning bottlings only.
With this series we are concentrating on absolutely superior casks. The name of the distillery and the age of the whiskies don`t play no role in selecting the whisky, the only criteria is the quality.
The first bottling is a Bowmore from 1995, matured in bourbon barrel number 177.
This new series will not have regular releases, there is going to be a maximum of two bottlings a year.
Apart from Thomas Ewers Luc Timmermans, founder of Belgian bottler Thosop will be responsible for selecting the best casks.
Timmermans is well known in the whisky world for his instinct when it comes to finding great casks. He was a longtime member in international association Malt Maniacs and releases highly acclaimed bottlings under his own label now.
