December 1, 2009 - Hurray! If the level of participation in this year's Malt Maniacs Awards is any indication, the worst of the credit crisis is already over! This year we had even more participants than last year in our whisky competition. Apart from that, not much has changed since 2008; we still sample all entries 'blind' to prevent the potential influence of personal brand preference and we used three 'price brackets' again.
These price categories are Daily Drams (with an average street price of up to 50 €), Premium Whiskies (price between 50 and 150 €) and Ultra Premium Whiskies“ (average street price
over
150 €).“
